Default 2013 Fat Boy Lo Rear Turn Signal Relocation

Hi guys

Just got myself a 2013 Fat Boy Lo 110th Anniversary and want to put a detachable rack/ sissy bar etc on it. From what i have read I have a couple of options, put the HD relocation in on, or shave the plates.

I was wondering if anyone has changed the stems on the original indicators for thinner straight ones and if that works?? i have seen a fat boy with this type of arrangement on and it would mean I could retain the looks and not have to shave plates.

Has anyone done this? How hard is it? and what did you have to buy.

Thanks for help in advance

when I put the sissybar on my crossbones, the relocation kit was exactly what you described. They are just thinner stand offs. Maybe a little longer

I put the thinner posts on my Slim. Took a couple of hours. Totally not hard. But a little tedious because you have to strip the jacket off the existing wired and put a new one on after you route through the new standoffs.
Not hard. Not really even a PITA. Just a little tedious.
But it works great.

Quick detach works with no shaving of anything.

Many thanks

I'd have to check at home. I can post later tonight/tomorrow.
My dealer had them in stock. Was a softail turn signal relocation kit.
Not too $$ either.

I was curious if you did this ? I am in the same boat with a 2013 Lo... want a sissy bar and rack but would like to avoid moving the tail lights if possible.

The part you mention (54268-10)... isn't that the exact part number for the relocation kit you would need to move the lights ?

Thanks

Hey Lads,
was wondering if u went through with this idea?
I have 2012 fatboy lo and have replaced the rear blinkers with an all in 1 break an signal LED setup which gives me the quick release sissy bar ! Can put photos up if u wanna have a look !!

Freeb, that would be great if u could put up some photos. I actually have ordered the relo kit and I if I run into problems installing it I might shave down the detachable sideplates as some others have done.
