Finally changed the derby cover: Mooneyes
Seems like it's one of the first things that typically get replaced, but I never got around to it.
Noticed on the Mooneyes site that they finally make one for the current bikes so I had to get one
Painted it:
And on the bike:
Matches the points cover on the other side:

VERY nice !!!
Like some of the others, I also remember all the great Moon equipment. I wish I still had 1/2 the pictures of the dark red '51 Shoebox Ford that I hot rodded and customized ... I could go on for hours on that bad boy, so I won't even get started ...
I'm gonna have to check these out - I had no idea that Moon made parts for our Harleys -- thanks so much for letting us know !!
I really like the paint you added to it - really sets it off. Kinda hard to tell from the camera flash, but did you use a gloss black or a satin-finish black ??

Thanks for the comments, guys.
I used a semi-gloss black, 500-degree engine paint. I masked the top and bottom sections, and then painted and wiped the fins, MOON, and edges.
A word of warning: I had to enlarge the holes a little to allow the torx bolts to fit -- the holes are just a little off. Same with the points cover. No big deal, and the overall quality and fit are really nice.
