Default 93 nostalgia moo glide, build in 94?

I am in the last fase of buying a flstn 1993 moo glide. All the stuff is there (fur seat, bags, limited number under the speedo etc).

I checked the vin and it is saying that it is a flstn (BN) but the build date is 1994 (R).

Is there someone who knows that this can be right or wrong? I thought that he 93 nostalgia was sold out very quikly and that they where all produced in 93. All the 93 bikes for sale i can find have the vin 93 (P).

Many thanks

I think if I'm not mistaken, they were built in '94 as well.

94 is a nostalgia but not a mooglide. Mooglide is 93 only.

Here's one with the vin number for comparison:
http://www.autorevolution.com/inv/vehicle.cfm?vid=28464

Info on vin numbers:
http://www.harley-performance.com/harley-vin.html

BN = FLSTN

10th digit is year.
P = 1993
R = 1994

I know that the flstn where build in 94,95 and 96 (specials in stead of nostalgia) each in a specific color combnation. This one is the 93 model with the numbered batch under the speedo and the black / white color with the fur detail, the so called nostalgia / moo glide /cow glide but the built date is 1994? Vin code is the R in stead of P

Add on. The bike is completely accurate with the link of harley_dute but the vin code says built date 1994?

Can this be authentic or has someone build a moo glide on a 94 special frame?

It does seem odd to me, but possibly production went into '94? Do the VINs on the frame and case match?

Yep. Case and frame numbers match. In my opinion the tank with the limited speedo etc where not sold separately.

Does someone know if HD keep track on the vin numbers and that there is a opportunity to check?

Only 2700 made, some sent oversea, doubt any were made in 1994. I would steer clear unless there is documentation to varify they made them in 1994. Unless the price is comparable to a 94 FLSTN ($7500-8000). A mooglide books at $2000 more.

Might see if you can get through to MOCO, won't be easy. But I'd feel better with a vin check.

Good luck the Mooglide is one of my favorites. They are actually affordable these days, back in the late nighties they were fetching $25,000.
