Black Painted Inserts on Chrome Dash Panel Extension to Match Deluxe Dash...
I've seen this before somewhere on here but I did this little mod the other day and thought other Luxe owners might like to see the result.
I just taped off everything except the inserts which I wiped down with some denatured alcohol, hit it with some red scotchbrite to scuff it up, cleaned again, used a tack cloth to remove any dust and sprayed it with some Rustoleum gloss black paint for plastic. About 6 light coats about 3-4 minutes apart and then one final coat about 30 minutes later. Waited until morning and peeled all the tape off. I think it came out great. It would be nice though if the moco would just make a version that matched right out of the box.
Anyway, here's the result...

Thanks man, yeah put the tips on last week - I like em too. Next up are the chrome fork sliders, chrome upper back tins, chrome cowbells, and progressive monotube shocks to drop the front an inch. I have everything except the shocks so I'll probably start wrenching on everything next week since the weather is supposed to be crap anyway.
