Mini floorboards on forward controls?

I was looking at jpcycles online catalogue and ran across this: http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup...6-EDC9B17CBB0F

Anyone try these or a different floor board out? If so, do you have pictures and do you like them better than the pegs? I was thinking about heel rests, but these caught my eye.

I don't know about these in particular but I can tell you from past experience that mini floorboards combined with forwards are great. I had Jardine forwards and mini boards installed on my Meanstreak several years back. It's a different beast altogether but as far as function goes it should be the same deal.Very comfortable and foot positions were just about unlimited.

Here's a pic of the controls I had:

Cool. By chance, did you have them installed with an engine guard? I have highway pegs too and I'd like a little more footing on my controls without interfering with my engine guard.

No engine guard. Mind you I just posted the pic of what I had on my Kawa MeanStreak hoping it'll give you an idea what they look like. I don't think Jardine makes these for HD's. But if you are looking at the ones you linked to in your original post then I can't imagine them being a problem with engine guards unless you are running forward control extensions as well. Best check with the manufacturer of the parts though. Good luck and post some pics if you decide to put them on!

Thanks Coaster. I have to wait to see what my taxes look like before I get any more bling for the bike!

RE: Mini floorboards on forward controls?

A friend just brought over a set of small (4x8) floorboards yesterday, so we installed them on my Train. I had HD pegs with Kuryaken heel rests. The new boards sit almost perfectly level with the ground, so less angle than I had. It'll take some getting used to, but after a very short ride, I think I like 'em. I'll need to get out on a dry day and really test them out, but I may keep them. No pictures yet with then on, but I'll try to take and post some soon.

One more thing to de-chrome, too, if I keep 'em![:@]:D
