Exclamation Carb Problems - I think

I have a 2000 Night Train with low miles I bought a couple of months back. The former idiot, oops, the formor owner purchaced a Screaming Eagle carb kit and installed himself. The bike had been laid down though everything seems cosmetic but it did go down on the right side. perhaps intake manifold gasget or?

I opened the kit and found the 180 jet missing so I assume that is the one he choose.

On acceleration I get a flat spot then it picks up and goes. It also seems to be a bit of a dog at higher speeds. I suspect it might be running lean or?

On my last scooter, a 80 shovel I had an S&S and could tune this problem out as long as I had the right jet for the elevation was at.
The stock carb on my 2000 night train has no adjustments that I can find. How would one lean it out or richin it? Of should I go to a 185 jet?

Thanks

Its covered over with lead u have to drill the plug out.. I had great running CV carbs and they can be made great but I went to a Mukuni and wow love it way more and piece of cake to tune... For 290$ it was not worth my time Messing with the CV..... Try eastern proformance for a Mukuni.... I did mess around with a stock carb they are good but there no mukuni

I agree with Magnum629c, The Harley CV carb can be made to perform but it requires a lot of modification and tweaking and in my opinion not worth the time and money. The Mikuni 42 will give you instant throttle response and is easy to tune and maintain.
