Hi newbie here, rented heritage softail classic in Blackhills this past July and again in grand Canyon in October. I really fell in love with the comfort level and ride. I am now looking for a used one[2009-12] ,what should i beware of ...ie...mileage , repairs ,etc?
Test drove a few others......road king, Dyna ,fat boy ,some Victories but nothing feels as good as the HSC.
Any replies would be appreciated.
Thx

If you go for 09 and newer there are no real issues that I know of engine wise. Some newer models were having issues with rear wheel spokes loosening up. I haven't had a problem with my 09 and have 31,000 miles on it. Hope this helps.
Bought a new 2012 only problem was the rear wheel spokes but after they replaced the wheel no other problems but only have 12000 miles on the bike so far love the bike

thx for reply. As far as horsepower is concerned ... from the 09 to the new 103 cu inch engine would i notice it a great deal ? i am 6 ft 205 and my wife is 5 '6 130.

I bought a brand new 2013 FLSTC at the end of May, what a fantastic bike! It was still partially crated when I went to look at it, never made it to the show room floor. I just picked it up yesterday from having it's 1000 mile oil change and adjustments and it's running even better now. Really love the 103 inch motor!
I had to have two items fixed under warranty for my 2012...the rear wheel had to be replaced due to the loose spokes not staying tight and a recall on the voltage regulator.
The bike runs great and the seat is the most comfortable OEM seat I've ever put my old *** on.
