Traded the Heritage on an Ultra Limited today, just fits my needs better for high mileage trips. Gonna miss the softail, hopefully finances allow me to add a second bike to the stable in the future. Learned a lot from you guys, hope to cya on the road
Congratulations on your new ride. I've owned a couple of Touring models, but keep coming back to a Softail. Of course, a typical day ride for me is 200 miles. Only do 1 or 2 long rides (1000 miles or more) a year.
I too was considering trading for a Touring model.
But just the other day I was dealing with traffic and I noticed how I was able to maneuver in and out of traffic with my Heritage so easily.
I just can't imagine being able to do that with a big bulky Touring bike.
I came to the conclusion that I will never get rid of my Heritage.
However I might some day add a Touring model to the stable.
Anyway, perhaps long distances is your "cup of tea" and the Touring model is a better fit for you.
It's nice that Harley makes a bike that fits almost everyone's desires.
