Thanks Benway but I guess better late than never. As for running everything through the bars? I didn't do it myself. I was down at the garage for most of the install and it wasn't bad at all, it really wasn't. My guy even commented after it was done that it went much better, much easier than even he thought it would be. The hydraulic hose used for the front brake and my clutch also made it a little easier too. It was pretty stiff yet small in diameter and went through very nicely. The Exile internal throttle went much easier than we thought it would too. We did have to cut a little off of the bars but not the 4"'s we were told we might have to cut off. It works REALLY sweet too. I am glad I sprung for the extra few bucks it took to make it happen. It was worth every penny. I started thinking I was in a hurry so I could ride and I was just going to throw externals on to get me to winter then change everything over then. I am very happy I decided to just bite the bullet and do it all now. It really makes the Apes, IMHO that is. I'm just not a fan of apes when all those hoses and cables are flopping all over in the wind. I also know it's a little pricey and some may not be in the same boat I am in and I can finally afford to have it the way I wanted it. I also have to reiterate an earlier comment about the hydraulic clutch setup I now have. It is REALLY sweet, very easy to pull and smooth as silk. If I had known it was this nice I would have done it long ago, even if I only had stock bars too. This past weekend was the best and most fun I had riding in a long time. I went to 2 river bars this past weekend. I counted them, at 1 bar there was 32 bikes and at the 2nd bar there was 127 bikes sitting there. My bike was the ONLY bike at either of those 2 bars with the " Midwest Vicla" look to it. Thats the west coast vicla look but with 16" wheels and tires on it! I did park next to 1 bike that had a 23" front wheel and tire on it, to me, it just didn't look right. I also didn't have to buy 1 single drink or beer all weekend. Guys would start standing around my bike, then they started asking questions then they started buy me beers. I'm not a big drinker and I actually had to turn a few down or I was going to have to get a trailer to get my bike home!!! I wasn't going to crash this thing my 1st day out or go to jail. Thanks again for all the kind words. And yea, OK, I don't do paragraphs and maybe I do go into detail about things but thats the only way I know how.

i'm sure one of the lovely gents buying you beers would have given you a ride home...

That bike is so indeed very cool. Like the clean bars a lot Could you tell me what brand those higway bars are, they look like the exact idea I am searching for but I haven't been able to find anything useable.

Hey Handsome (sounds bad), I'm not sure what highway bars Tony is running on his bike, but I've been looking into the Mark IV highway bars from Kuryakyn. I like the way his pegs look on his bike, but they wouldn't do much for a taller rider such as myself. And it appears that his attach to his floorboards whereas the Mark IVs attach to the frame. The ones I'm lookin at seem to be a lot longer and pushed more forward, which would actually allow me to stretch out a bit. I'm not knocking Tony's bike in any way, I'm just saying that I don't know what brand he's running, and if I recall correctly, he didn't even know what brand they were as the bike came with them. The Mark IVs are the only ones I've been able to find even close to his.

Google em for yourself

Kuryakyn p/n 7840 for regular size bars, and p/n 7841 for extended bars for taller riders.

Have to agree with popular opinion, your bike looks light years better than your previous set-up. Much more attitude now. I looked at the Exile internal throttle on their website, am I correct to assume that it will only work with carbed bikes and not EFI?

Hey Handsome,(I agree, that just doesn't sound right) thanks for the compliment. I have since come to learn and I am 99% sure that I agree that these highway bars are Harley brand. I say that because the footpegs match the rest of the pegs and running boards. Also, they do not attach to the floorboards, they attach to the frame. They are also a 2 part system and not 1 single bar all the the way across. Thats good because if you drop it and bend 1 side you don't have to replace the whole thing, just the side that you dropped it on. I really like them, they are super comfortable. Here is a picture of them, well, the best I have at the moment anyway. It really adds to the lines and the low look of the bike.
