Changing Out my Battery?

I have a 09 Fat boy and was thinking on changing out the battery. I have a alarm on it ( the new where I can just walk away and it arms it self) Do I need to disarm it before I swap out the battery?

Yes. Unless you want to hear the noise. Turn switch on and remove main fuse to disarm.

It is call the Maxi-fuse. Located under the left side cover. It is the biggest fuse you have(main fuse) ...

Well it turns out all I had to do is turn the ign. on with the FOB near by and disconnect the battery and replace it !!

Pretty easy with out having to disarm the security system.!!

Funny, I just had to ask that same question at the dealer the other day...
He told me the same thing - just turn the ignition on then disconnect the battery...
