Chance To Buy A 2004 Deuce...

Never thought about getting a Deuce until I found a 2004 with a 180 kit, Pro One Front End, Spoke Wheels, Cams, Pistons, Power Commander with about 18K on the clock....includes a stack of paperwork and receipts, bike is flawless. The price we came to was $6800....thoughts?

I've had my 06 Deuce since October 05 and thoroughly enjoy it every time I'm on it. 18K miles? The bike isn't broken in yet! Sounds like a fair deal to me.
Edit: Judging by the discoloration of the head pipes, you might want to check the tune on the PC. http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/o.../AUG320121.jpg |

Good price for a bike that is no longer available.
|
Heading up there today...see how it goes!

Kbb shows retail at 9k and trade in at 6700. I agree had to pass for that price.

That is a whole lot of bike for the money. If I was looking for a second bike I would be all over that deal.
|
Great deal if it's legit. Once you get it check out the tune. Maybe the pipes were discolored before the tuner was dialed in.
|
That's a good price, as said would be hard to pass up. Gotta love a Deuce!

I love my 2000 Deuce. Original owner. 110 HP/TQ. Tangerine numbered HD paint set. Album here. Still looking for mods. I have a 180 rear tire mounted. Saddlebags now easily removed. So next I want to chrome that rear wheel. |
Agree lot of bike for the money. Jump on it. Don't worry about the blue on the pipes they all do it most further doww the tube and at the collector. Way back when when your pipes blued that was a sign you rode it. We never used to clean them. Pull the heat shields off any new bike and see what color the head pipe is after 10k or so,it would scare most.

Appreciate all the input...took the plunge and picked it up yesterday. Not sure why he had to get rid of it, but he also had a Rock Crawler Jeep that was being loaded on a trailer by it's new owner. The paint is brand new, hasn't even been cut, Screaming Eagle Heads, Cam, Pro One Front End, 21" 80 spoke wheels, forward controls..clear title...stack of receipts...runs like a bat out of hell. The module needs to be programmed, running a little rich. Also want to get a new exhaust...maybe stick with a Thunderheader but black, tires look good, just needs a little attention.

Congrats! I have a trailer the same size as yours which I bought before I measured my Deuce, which is 8 feet from tip to tip, surprised me. With my ramp up not a lot of room to spare.
