Question about my pipes and swapping the ends?
OK guys, another question to learn something about my pipes.
I have Samson true dual rolled edge pipes. I'd like to put fishtails on instead. I don't have to change the whole thing, correct? Just the second half of the pipes going to the end, right? Oh, and that would require a new dyno? Thanks :) |

Peg I just IM'd you about a pair of 27" Samson fishtails that are new and the wrong ones for my bike.

Is this a do-it-yourself kind of job? I'm pretty handy with tools.

Soak it down with Liquid Wench every day for a few days before you're set to begin to help break up the carbon and road trash that'll be in the joints and clamps.

Peg, your bike is already a looker....gonna be even better with the fishtails or longtails.
Like QC said, spray the clamps and header/muffler union, after it sits a bit it's an easy job. |
OK opinions please!
Frankly I like both looks... which do you all like better for my bike? http://www.studiopegdesign.com/image.../mufflers1.jpg http://www.studiopegdesign.com/image.../mufflers2.jpg |
Needs to be the fishtails for sure. Way more attitude and cool factor.

I like what you have now. But if you're going to change, go with the fishtails.
