Default switcd weels ran into trouble...

Here it is, I have a 2003 Night Train that I picked up some wheels for. i wanted to ditch the solid black cast wheel. The brake rotor and the sprocket bolted up just fine. I mounted a Metzler 160/80-16 on to the 16x3 rim with no issues. Upon installing the wheel is now offset to the left of the bike. (Before I go any further the 160 Metz fits under ther fender just fine with no clearance issues). But when bolted up the wheel is kicked off to the left. The belt and sprocket are perfectly aligned so that leads me to believe the hub is what is offset. what can I do for an easy fix? I was thinking of machining the brake down just a bit a putting in some new spacers. but i think that would case the sprocket to misaligned. Is there a way to extend out the sprocket with say an adapter plate?
Thanks for the help guys.

Your rear pulley and belt alignment will dictate your course of action. Perhaps you could machine a spacer plate to fit behind the pulley, add some longer bolts to mount the pulley and shorten the spacer on the right side? Will you be able to adjust the brake caliper on the right side? How much is the offset?

I need the wheel to come an 1/8" to the right it looks like. I could machine a spacer at work to fit between the pulley and the hub and get some new spacers. I just wasnt sure if there was something easier, I don't even know what it would be.

If you consider your pulley to be a fixed point then everything else has to shift right and .125" isn't really that much. Make sure you get new bolts with the correct grip length and grade. I might even go so far as to safety wire them.....

Right on. It never even occurred to me to think the pulley was a fixed point. Thanks. Ya bolts would probably need to be that 1/8" longer as well. Thanks

This could be a terrible idea, but what about loosening the spokes and tightening them 1/8" over?

oh man that doesn't sound fun at all! Then I'd have to re-true it and well is that even possible?

I don't know if it applies to the Night train, but the Fat Boy around those model years including my 2005 has the rear tire mounted with an off set. It is closer to the fender on the left side then the right.

I think that is where the hub itself may have come from. The stock 03 Train is perfectly centered.

when the pulley aligned is the tire in the center of the bike? or to center the tire you have to move it to the right 1/8"?
