My softail project - question

Ok, I bought a new 13 Blackline and it is going to be modded over the next 6 or so weeks. I will post pictures when it is done because I do think it is going to look pretty badass. I am going for a combination of a retro, rigid look with the dependability of fuel injection and the softail vs. rigid so that parts don't fall off.

It is going to be blacked out with brass accents from RSD grips and pegs to a paco black and brass front end. No fenders, sampson sinister 2 into 2 eshaust, RSD air intake, 14 apes (black), bobber seat, cut turn signals and the tires are on 16s front and back and are the same size, etc..

My question is about the seat. Because I am completely removing the rear fender and won't put a fabricated half fender on it until the end of the season, I believe I don't need the softail conversion kit for the bobber seat, correct? Or I MIGHT want it to cover all of the wiring and "mess" under the seat?? Just not sure. I am ok putting the conversion plate in (I might need it for the hardware, even) if it doesn't make the seat sit too high center. I want it low. I am using brass colored springs and the seat is dark brown with brass rivets. That has nothing to do with the conversion kit but just wanted to tell what it looks like because it is badass.

Should I use the kit or just put the seat on without it?

As usual, I appreciate any feedback you have.

You are going to want to cover all the mess under the seat, use the kit.

Does the kit sit flush to the frame or will it be raised, do you know?

I am just really worried that it will be raised.
