I have a 04 heritage softail classic, my first 4 oil changes at the dealer caused it to blow back through the breather. When I started changing it myself I realized that the service manual called for more oil than it took to fill it. Don't over fill it and it won't blow back on you.

didn't read any of the above post,,,,BUTTTT

I have alway run the oil level 1/2 between the low and high mark.. and I've never had a prob....

That's checking the oil,, HOT and on the Jiffy stand after sitting 4-5 mins...

Others who run at the Full level can and have reported getting an oil blow by...
