Need help, won't start.

I’ve searched this forum and on the net, but can’t find anything that describes my problem.

I have a 2011 HeritageClassic and have never had any problems with it before. Until yesterday... I backed it out of the garage and did a quick rinse off and wiped it down, getting ready to ride a little.
I turn on the ignition switch all the lights come on, but then when I hit the starter button, nothing. My right blinker doesn’t work; the emergency flashers won’t come on, which makes me think that the problem might be in the right hand controls. ???

Is there a switch or relaythat could go bad?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, Andy

Sounds like water got in the right switch housing. Open it up and take a look, or wait a few days for the water to dry.

You could also try opening it up, blowing it out with compressed air and maybe a shot of WD-40 to displace any residual moisture or use a hair dryer.

Does your bike have a kill switch?

Do you hear the fuel pump come on when you flip the run switch on?

Just opened the housing up, no water or moisture... even took a hair dryer and blew warm air on the and arond the housing to make sure

Not sure about a "kill" switch, it has the security FOB. I thought the battery may be getting weak, so I pulled out the spare and no change.

When I turn on the ignition, I can hear the fuel pump kick on...

OK, if that does not work you will need to work your way upstream on the wiring and check the connectors under the tank and the seat at the ECM/BCM to check for moisture/corrosion in the connectors. :icon_bike:

On my 02 Fatboy there's a kill switch right next to the starter switch. I never use it, but my prankster friends turn it off when I'm not looking. Not sure if newer Harley's have a kill switch but I know 2000-2006 bikes have them.
