Fatboy saddlebag support help

I just received throwover bags for my '06 Fatboy. I have a detachable sissy bar and I can't find support brackets that will install with the detachable sissy bar.

Anybody know of a support that will work with this setup?

RE: Fatboy saddlebag support help

I just bought a set from J&P. I have not installed them yet but they look like they will fit. What is the issue? These install on a single bolt. It is the same one for the quick release but I don't see why it can't share the mount.

I dunno, the detachable sissy bars mount to the inner mount locations and the saddlebags to the outer.

I am guessing thats the info you wanted to know. Usually you need alonger bolt(torx) to fit both the saddlebag and sissybar mounts.. even if both or one is just detachable.

The detachable sissy bar clamps down on the center mount location. The HD brackets are too thick at the mount and force the catch out too far for the sissy bar to connect. I'm going to try a single bolt bracket.

The single bracket also connects to that mount. Maybe putting it on the outside will not interfere with the catch?

I installed mine today. They fit fine on the inside of the bracket like they are supposed to be. I have no problems getting the back rest on. These are the ones I bought:

If you want I can post pics to show you how they look on the bike.
