New wheels and tire questions.

I have a 2009 night train and I need new tires. So I figured I might as well get new rims and tires together. I know that I want a 23" front and a 18" rear but I'm not sure on the width of the rim I need. The rims I was looking at are the DNA mammoth 52's, but I've been reading a lot of bad customer service crap, and the tubeless actually leaks. Is this still a problem with this company? Are there any other company's that sell a similar rim?

You can go up to 3.5 width up front and as for the 18 on the rear they only make 18x5.5 rims for the rear to fit. Unless you go 17 then they make them in 6.25 width

I went with the 3.5" wide Breakout front wheel and very happy with the change.

I've also read about the fat spoke wheels not true tubeless - if I was keen on those, I'd just run tubes with them.

23" front wheels are usually 3.75" wide but I am not sure on a DNA wheel. An 18" rear would be a 5.5" wide rim. Your stock rim is a 17x6 on that bike. I don't think the stock front fender will fit with the wider wheel, tire combo. If you need more help please feel free to give us a call.

Thanks guys. I already figured the front fender had to go because of the 23" front wheel. Not to sad since it's ugly anyways. Would my stock spacers work with the new wheels?

Anyone?

I honestly don't know if the stock spacers will work but here's my 2 cents. I changed the front of my rocker to a wide glide and ordered a 23 DNA fat spoke for a wide glide. My logic told me that would just bolt up with stock wide glide spacers but it didn't. That being said you shouldn't have to go through all that but if for some reason your stock spacers don't work you can get a set of about 20 different sized spacers from eBay for about 50 bucks.
And I have had no problem with it leaking at all. Hope this helps.

Thanks rollin. I just don't want to run into any unexpected problems. If I do though, there is a harley shop right down the road from me that would probably have what I would need.
