to be honest T, i don't have a suggestion. i guess i should have asked if that's where heartland designed them to go. i think everything is coming together real nice. can't wait to see it lowered and with pipes on it. now it just needs some upswept fishtails or trumpets.

@ Phrog...well, they give you some metal tabs to hang down from the struts to put them. I guess I could drill holes in the fender or find some way to have them on the swing arm. Not a big worry...I really don't have a problem with them right now. It's cool.

Need to lower that bike. Do you have a lowering kit?
LOL...ahhhh, that's it? No...nice bike, T? I believe I stated that that I need to lower the bike some more... I told them to lower it 1.5", but I'm not sure they did. I'll lower it some more this week.

Sorry...didn't mean to offend your delicate, sensitive side. I thought the nice bike went without saying....but since it doesn't.....NICE bike! [sm=americanasmiley.gif][sm=Awwww.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif][sm=drooldude.gif][sm=drooldude.gif][sm=Flahssssss.gif][sm=happy046.gif][sm=hail.gif][sm=hail.gif]

I've kicked around the idea of the Heartland kit.......I can't make up my mind...I like the bobtail fender but I also like the chopped fender.....maybe I need a second bike.

Either way....it looks awesome. Back to the subject it doesn't appear lowered to me although the Heartland changes everything as I am not familiar with how it sits versus the stock. You can tell if it's lowered all the way by looking at the stud end of the shocks under the bike. Where they go through the frame is a nut....if the nut is at the end of the stud with no threads showing then it's lowered as far as whatever kit they have on there allows. If you have room to go lower then you simply thread the nut out until it is flush with the end of the stud and then tighten the jam nut on the shock side of the frame.

You could do it yourself in about 10 minutes.

Tim I am putting a platinum air ride on my bike in the next week or so.....I'll let you know how it turns out. 1200 bucks you can't go wrong along with great reviews here on the forum.

If you ride two up much....which it sounds like you might.....then you will want it.

Joey,

do you have pics of your seat brace where it mounts to your frame? I'm trying to see if it's painted or not.

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,
You talking about the seat itself? Or, where the strutless fender mounts up? I don't have a real good closeup of that area, but I'll take a couple and send 'em to you. See if this is what you're talking about?
