jackhammer- i actually just replaced the triple trees with +7 degrees and went with +2 on the legs. I also raised the front of the tank an 1 1/2 that changed the look up. my only regret is that i didn't get them powdercoated black but they were the first addition to my bike. i got the no wire look on the apes by switching to a hydraulic cluth and running a stinger internal throttle....phrogflyer-my powdercoater took care of masking the legs..i believe he only taped off the top threads..where the dust caps go.

When you added the triple trees and legs, did you notice any difference in the ride or handling? I want to do that to mine, everyone is trying to talk me out of it.

the ride changed a little when i had my drag bars. at high speed and the right road condition i did get some speed shake. if i had to do it over again i would have went with 5 in the trees.

Where did you get the taillight from? I want to replace mine with a clear or something like yours.

jimstro, the taillight was ordered from drag specialties, but i had it all powdercoated gloss black with exception of the chrome iron cross...wolf the rear end is the heartland usa kit...comes complete with the leather seat, struts, rear fender, and lower rock guard..all for the hefty price tag of 2 grand..and thats with the fender and rock guard in bare metal form..a little expensive but just about the only choice.

Heres a pic of mine with 7 trees +2 legs. Just got it together and rode couple thousand miles down in Florida and gets a little lite in the front end just over a hundred. I think I will be going back to 5 degrees or get the frame raked out to 39 in the neck and go +4 in the tubes. The neck cup kit that I got and did not use looks like a crap. It spreads the trees to far apart. If you are going to go with a bolt on rake kit I would go with the seager cycle or AMI kit instead of dicking around with the cup kits!

With the additional 7* tinthe trees and 2" in the legs, how much was the wheelbase increased?

The overall wheel base center to center is 72 1/2. I think that is about a 3 inch stretch over 3 degree trees and stock tubes 24.25.
