I agree, the drag bars look good. Never have been an apes on a Springer guy. Your Bad Bones looks great, nice job.

Default AArrgghh!

So I go to the dealers Anniversary Party yesterday and once again got frustrated with our fellow Harley owner "breathren." Its funny how many guys who spent the entire morning polishing up the chrome to ride 10 miles to park the bike, hang out and be seen. I was there 20 minutes and split, this Bad Boy was made for riding!

Trying to get a good pic of the powdercoated pulley and the black laced wheel.

Bad Bones it is!!
LOL! Not tryin to give the guy a hard time. It's a nice X-bones.

But everything is different, paint, fr&rr tires sizes, wheels, front end width, seat, bars, engine, trans, rr fender. The link in STL97FXSTSB's post for the 95 Bad Boy says this:

"This is a limited production bike that is already a collectors item and a piece of American history."

I think to a small degree, the X-bones has lessened the value of the Bad Boy to some people who just want that black Springer. If we start to say that X-bones are like updated Bad Boys...we could see that affect its collectibility even more. Not that I care. I don't intend to sell mine.

It's all good, we'll let those boys dress their new fangled motorcycles all up like our antiques. But at the end of the day we know who has what.

Besides can it even be a "Bad Boy" if it has fuel injection? Sounds too refined to me.

That wasn't my bike, but you raise a good point. I need to make clip, I keep forgetting. It's just me and the boy this weekend let me see what I can do.

Ok New to the forum and a returning harley owner. I just traded my tricked out Kawasaki Ninja ZX14 for a 97 bad boy. I have never been one for a springer or the softail but this bike is growing on me. I will take some good pics this weekend. But it has the blue highlights. 40K on the bike 7k on a rebuild of the 80' evo. I was asking 9K for my 14 I think it was a fair deal.
The steering is really tight seeming, I don't know if that is the rake angle and the springer front end or if I should check the bearings in the neck.
