Thanks, but still need some mods. after a 100 miles you need a chiropractor on the backseat that I don't have lol. To make it to my taste I still need a new air intake, foot pegs and exhaust. Eventually give the wheels a little more spunk. oh yes working on changing the sliders to black ones maybe.

Good lookin rear end and beautiful primary cover. I know you spent a fortune on the wheels but I'm not crazy about them a little too flashy for me. Beautiful job though, I can totally appreciate the work put into it!

What can you say about a clean machine? Do you live in the LA area? Maybe we could hook up and cruise the canyons one Sunday morning?

Hey Phantom good looking bike. I really like those bars, wanted to know what brand and size they are. My next project will be bars once I get the funds. If you don't mind me asking, bout how tall are you? I'm 5'8 and want to be about shoulder level about for the comfort. Thx in advance

Still like the Matt Silver and Black...I wonder if a larger tire would fill the gap in your ft fender?

I did have commander IIs on it which the front was a 90/90 -21. Needed a new front tire so I went with the American elites and the front is now a MH/90-21. Now that I've run both, I'll probably go back to the commander IIs. I liked that the 90/90 was wider and from the looks of the Elite front, I probably wont get as many miles out of it. Not sure what size I would need to fill in that gap...

Great exhaust. RB racing really knows how exhaust pressure works. You can tell just by looking at the headers

What's up G & Joe!! G, hope you're having fun in Daytona. Joe, hope she had a happy birthday. I'm just hoping to get out this summer. I started up my bike last year, road it around the block and then it sat all summer. Kids are a year older, keep your fingers crossed that I can get out this year.

back again 03-13-2020 09:51 PM

Holy smokes !,, A ghost from the past. I thought u disappeared B. We were packed to go to Daytona and superintendent that was going to cover the job quit .Pissed at first but seeing how this virus is going kinda glad we didn’t go.
I hear on the kids getting older. Mine are 22&18 already. Sounds like business has been good. You need to take some time before it passes you by. G

Branner 03-16-2020 09:03 AM

Hey G, I know, this is crazy! Started the bike up and it's running pretty good. I think I'm going to have to do the cam chain tensioner update as I haven't done it yet and I don't want to rebuild my motor if it blows up. Thinking about the S&S gear drive 510's. Or 509's... LOL

Front Wheel swap

Been too long since I have posted. Bike has been up for over a year. Planned on swapping the front end, front wheel, some other items then life happened. Anyway, the part I really needed to replace was the front wheel. It is the original spoke wheel and the spokes have rusted out from living so close to the salt air. I picked up a DNA fat spoke super cheap from a guy who never installed it. The only caveat is its for a dyna, not a softail. Does anyone know if there is already made wheel spacers I can get to install this wheel and be on my way? If not, I would be open to selling this wheel for what I paid for it and putting the money towards one for a softail. I paid $490 for this one. It is a 21"

Does the brake rotor line up? It would seem to me you could just fab it up, take an accurate measurement and have a local machine shop cut them for you?

Thanks Quest. I didn't want to put that much effort into it. I finally rode over to the master tech at HD who works on my stuff if I don't, he stated the better way to go would be to order a new hub kit from HD and put it in the wheel this way it extends the hub closer to the front end and you get new bearings with it. I was going to go that route, but since I have wanted to change up the bike and put a 2" drop in the rear, 2" drop on the front and a new wheel, I am just going to order a new front end and wheel from the same manufacturer specifically for the bike then sell of this rim I bought. I thought it was a DNA wheel, turns out its a Ride Wright so I should be able to at least make my money back on this one. Thanks for the input!
