Nashville bike week

I don't see how they are going to pull this off. Now since Loretta Lynn's Ranch has pulled out, they are supposedly leasing farmland and developing the spot from scratch. Roads, paved camping spots, full RV hookups with water and sewer, restrooms and bathhouses, etc. Hard to understand how they could structure this deal to benefit both parties. If the event happens, I think it will be scaled way back as far as the amenities promised and there will be a lot of pissed off bikers.

I don't know if anyone is still keeping up with all the drama, but the state has ordered Nashville Bike Week to stop selling tickets since they have not applied and paid for the appropriate permits for an event of this size. The promoter keeps on spinning a web of lies. New location still not disclosed.

Not much of an update. Sounds like everything is still up in the air. I bet May 10th will come and go just as every other day where they've promised a substantive update.
One thing I don't understand - at this point they have gotten everyone's money. Why have they been keeping up the charade so long after ticket sales stopped? Part of me wants to think some sort of event might actually happen unless the state won't grant the permits.

Sad part is a big rally in the area could probably do well. There is not a big rally anywhere near here and traveling 800-1500 miles to get to one sucks! You can't advertise the rally as being statewide for it to work however as Nashville Bikeweek was basically doing. Yeah lets do day trips from Loretta Lynns over to the Dragon and back and party that night! Or lets go to Concerts in Nashville and ride drunk 80 miles back down I-40 to our campsite.
