Their parking can be challenging, but not too bad. Stupidity of the drivers is about in particular with the other areas of the South that I've lived in. I'd say you're OK being from Detroit. Do it - you only live once!
Park it in another city! That place is a **** hole on every level! The only thing **** Orleans has that's even remotely worth going to see is the WWII museum. Other than that...FLUSH!
Mostly agree!, some interesting places, but the downward spiral is getting steeper, don't mind day visits, wouldn't want to stay overnight, not on my bike anyway.
PACK!
Katrina missed a good opportunity to erase Bourbon Street.
If it were me, I would get a hotel in Metairie, or Kenner and take a cab into the main parts of the city. I personally wouldn't want to ride in or especially park downtown anywhere. I stay at a Holiday Inn in Metairie every other month for work, haven't seen anything stolen there while I was there, but only seen one or two bikes there that I can remember.
Enjoy your trip!
If you are from Detroit you will be fine in nola. The crime is the same, most of the city is a wasteland except for the business and tourist districts. The only difference is it will be hot and humid, have good food and a jazzy atmosphere
Mostly a filthy sewer, I guess if one likes ho's, transvestites and ****.
Fat City was fun back in my party days, don't even know if it still exist.
I have no had any personal aversion to a ho. LMAO! The transvestites don't bothet me, and I don't bother them. And urine? Well, I fly the traveling American public around on a daily basis - I've smelled a lot worse. 😆
