My soon to be wife and I expect to move to TN. in about 2 years, I've visited the eastern side of the state a couple times, she's never been. We are going to scope out a few areas, Caryville, Kingsport to the Pigeon Forge areas in August. Any thoughts? And of course will be looking for riding friends when we get down there. In CT now and getting taxed out of here.
retired to Jonesborough area here. First Harley. Liking it so far!
2010 Road King....like a 63 Coupe deVille...with a soundtrack.
Roads round here were DESIGNED for bikes...unbelievable.

My wife & I are getting ready to move to eastern TN, from Olympia, WA.
I've been researching on the side, the riding opportunities in TN, and nearby. LOVE the PNW roads and I don't mind the rain (got a good Langlitz jacket), but the batcrapcrazy political ideology is crushing all that is/was good out here, and we've had enough.
Looking forward to exploring TN

Youd like it here Monahan..
I moved here last summer (from Sandy Oregon) for the same reason.
The folks here are so friendly and accepting!
...PROVIDED you don’t move here to try and change what they built. It’s very politically conservative and the folks around here like that. They work hard and just want the gov to stay out of their lives. There are churches everywhere and it’s reflected in the way people behave.
I lived in Oregon most of my life. When it was farmers, loggers, fishermen and ranchers running the state it was like TN is now...but that’s gone, same as Washington unless you get east of the Cascades.
The roads here are every bit as good as those on the west coast...a little tighter and a little less visibility thru the corners. But windy?!! Krikey....it’s great!
Good to hear!
We don't want to change anything, rather we intend to support it
Looks like we have very similar bikes-- my '09 Road King Classic is perfect for me. The only bugger about it is airing the tires; fitting my large hands around all the obstacles, then barely being able to unscrew the valve stem cap. Thankfully the gal at our HD dealers parts counter turned me on to a valve stem extension which is a life saver!
