just soggy ground here.... but friends along the storms path were flooded, and worse.....
Back to riding already.... and heading out of town on Saturday, as the thundering herd arrives for "bike fest"

My first time but it seemed lame to me. The convention center was a waste of $20 for the two of us. The dealership had a couple nice events but I guess I was just expecting more after all the hype.

A vendor list would have been nice too. I couldn't find much and I could of been talked out of some money had I had some time to do a little research.

I'm guessing past years were better?

compared to the early years @ Moore Square.... it's gone down hill, Now with Ray's passing, and the dealership under a new name....I guess there's no DRIVE to keep it up.
Went down on Friday.... watched the "toymakerz" stunt team.....best part (for me) is when the rider dropped the bike ... carb side down.... and fuel spilled and caught fire....
no worries as toymakerz were right there to throw water on the fuel fire...
We saw the sights, and were gone in under one hour....at least were were smart enough to head over to Smokey's for BBQ before heading that way... and I taught Joel a whole new meaning to the phrase "the long way round"

lol when it was on Fayetteville street it was pretty good.
Dealer said the got to many complaints about noise, I think new owner did want to foot the bill.
We can have very kind of banjo picking, rock, concerts, and nobody complaints about the noise?

In the 45 minutes I was outside I saw multiple people doing burnouts, blasting music, revving motors, and driving like jackasses. Which is all good and fun, don't get wrong, we've done much worse in the car world.

But I can understand why it could be considered more of a headache than the other events that go on downtown.
