Skies cleared up on Sunday (well it stopped raining)....I headed over to Durham for the first "Bull City Bike Fest"
A couple of blocks downtown were closed off, about the same area as the "Durham Rumble" brit bike party, if you've ever been.
a couple of vendors, lots of bikes... I walked up and down the street twice, and then headed for home... I could see that I'd park the bike just short of the 157k mark, so I opted to swing by Locked & Loaded in Garner for their spring bike show
Again a couple of vendors, and a parking lot full of bikes....
I lapper the lot twice, and decided I'd rather ride, than stand around.
Still seeing as I hadn't planned on riding this week end (due to forecast storms), I got in over 175 miles... not bad for a "wash out Sunday"

 

Angier bike fest is coming up May 10/11. Come on out.

 

I am going to Angiers this year Dammit ! Been trying to get out there for years ! Heard it was pretty good. I hit the Bull City .. not much happening at all really because of the rain. I did hit Tobacco Road and Thunder Road Open houses this weekend. Tobacco Road was ok. I just dont know why the other dealerships dont have the following that the Raleigh shop has.

I live in a spot where I can hit Raging Bull, DownHome, Thunder and Tobacco road .. even Riding High and Smoking. Out of all Tobacco Road and Smoking always have a great turnout.

 

If you're looking for something to do this weekend Angier Bike Fest starts Friday night. There will be a bbq contest for Saturday. There's a ride planned to stretch out through Harnett and Lee county.

Yep .. Ive been trying to get to this rallie for years. I am going tomorrow night and maybe Saturday ... but I have to be home by 1/2p .. its only 50 miles out so it should be unmanagable.
