Pucketts in Liepers Fork. Also check out HD Columbia, exit 46 off 65

ptl203 08-01-2014 03:11 PM

Also, if you're into country music at all check out the Dierks Bentley Miles and Music for Kids ride and concert. This year it is on September 28, starting at HD Columbia and show is at Rivetfront Park. We get a lot of bikes to show up for this ride

Mr. Pick 08-01-2014 03:16 PM

Work in Nashville, live in M'boro. Where did you move from? Tons of good riding/eating in middle TN.

Tripp_HPjunkie 02-05-2015 06:00 PM

Need to start checking this more....lol moved here from Columbia SC

Mursenary 03-19-2015 08:29 PM

I'm in Murfreesboro. Like they said. Lots of good eats here in middle TN.

Tripp_HPjunkie 03-19-2015 08:38 PM

Cool man thanks for the reply.....hopefully we can get enough of us together for a ride or something sometime...

16FXDLI 03-19-2015 09:23 PM

I live in Franklin. Picked up my scoots from Columbia HD. Ill second the recommendation that Leipers Fork and Natchez Trace are excellent cruises. ;)

Tripp_HPjunkie 03-19-2015 09:27 PM

Yeah Ive heard about the Trace where does it start and stop may check it out this weekend....

Thanks

16FXDLI 03-19-2015 09:37 PM

It runs from Nashville to the SW, pretty much as far as you want to go. :D

There are some pretty fun curvy sections from Franklin to Columbia (through Liepers Fork).

I'm up that way a couple of times a month -
If you get a chance, go by Boswell's HD on Fesslers Lane and pick up one of their Nashville Trace maps (big display right behind the cash register) and it has a lot of good day trips around the area along the Natchez Trace.

Also - check the schedule at the Double E Bar/grill in Old Hickory - they will have stuff happening when it warms up.

Seconds on the Natchez Trace! Great riding but watch your speed as National Park Rangers do police it. Also watch out for all the wildlife crossing or along edges of road. Tons of deer, turkeys, and other critters.

Head over to Loveless Cafe (someone recommended earlier) for breakfast, then top off gas and head down the Trace, which is a limited access winding 2 lane blacktop 400mile long National Park.

Roads all over middle Tennessee are great for riding, in any direction you want to go.

Welcome to Tennessee.

I just wanted to echo the welcome and the warning - the speed on the trace is nice for cruising, I just generally stay off there around dusk and daybreak because of the deer and other critters. i don't like night riding there because of the wildlife, and you are often in cell phone challenged areas as far as a signal goes. For me - great in the day - just watch for critters.

shortbusondubs 06-09-2015 08:42 AM

I live in Smyrna and work in Nashville. I've only done the trace on a rocket, and like others said, watch your speed. They're pretty good at setting up road blocks ahead of you.

Welcome to Tennessee.

Tripp_HPjunkie 06-09-2015 06:52 PM

Thanks....we are loving Nashville so far......everything except the traffic coming home after work.....lol

brandonwbeck 06-17-2015 08:15 AM

the traffic after 4 is awful. I live north of Nashville so I tend to stay off the interstate in the evening. cant stand cooking on the Interstate while sitting. Dickerson road to Long Hollow Pike gets me home in the shade with minimal red lights.

mikenac 06-17-2015 01:48 PM

Hey I'm Mike. I live just south of Nashville in Franklin.

benjamin lorenzo 08-23-2015 08:56 PM

Ben here checking in from White house. I work in Nashville and am always looking for a good ride home. I tool around northern middle TN on the weekends. Had a great little 75 miler this morn on the back roads to Westmoreland and Gallatin on my xl1200c.

benjamin lorenzo 08-24-2015 06:03 PM

Nash to Robertson county

I plan on hitting some back roads between Nash and Cross Plains.
Gonna head up Buena Vista aka Whites creek from Briley then right on Greenbrier road then right on Smiley to Ridgetop, past the speedway to Distillery to Armstrong to Owens Chapel ect toward Cross plains if anyone's interested, hit me up.

benjamin lorenzo 09-04-2015 02:25 PM

Update - The back roads from white house thru Ridgetop on Union Hill rd to Joelton are curvy and fun. The speed limits can be kinda slow buts that's all good especially since fall is around the corner. I end up riding whites creek pike all the way to trinity and it's working out pretty good. Tried Brick Church pike and didn't like that route at all.

cdpennington2@gmail.com 03-10-2016 08:41 AM

anybody got any rides planned in the near future?

BuckeyeUltra 04-18-2016 07:18 PM

Just moved down to Hendersonville from NE Ohio...

Having a blast discovering new roads and the scenery is...shall we say much better.

My pops, brother and I are doing a run to Fall Creek Falls, over to Natural Bridge, KY sometime in the summer - really excited for that.

seeker1911 05-14-2016 08:58 PM

Hey buckeyultra. I live in Hendersonville. I wonder if that was you I passed the other day. I ride a maroon and charcoal ultra classic.

I love that area...I work in the county and "found" Granville...can't wait to get up that way on the bike...

Ultratourer 05-17-2016 09:47 PM

I just became a proud owner of a Ultra Classic and also to this forum. Does this forum have a way to see post by Tennesseans? I live between Smyrna and Murfreesboro off of I-24 Almaville.

Hmm, could have been!!

Question for you, whats your favorite local routes? I recently rode 109 up to Franklin, KY - pretty good.

Also any good biker hangouts? I know down old hickory there's a place called Roadhouse Saloon; I checked out the other week - sunday 2 for 1 brews...caught my attention, haha.

seeker1911 05-22-2016 09:03 AM

@BuckeyeUltra actually I just retired from the Army in March and moved back to town after a 20 year gap. I'm looking for the good routes and hangouts myself. But PM me if you wanna ride I think there's a couple popular spots here in town too.

cdpennington2@gmail.com 10-11-2016 03:48 PM

Lets get something together one weekend fellas, maybe a sunday afternoon cruise then some beers.

I am from Hendersonville and live in Murfreesboro currently. We could hit a good route through Gallatin into Souther KY for some AWESOME BBQ if yall wanted then finish it off at Moby Dickys in Hendersonville.

Let me know if anybodys down.
