Hey all... I'm Charlie. From NJ originally, but been out here long enough that the NJ only comes out when I'm sufficiently pissed off.
Learned to ride less than a year ago, scratching a lifelong itch. First bike was a '14 Sportster. Outgrew that fairly quickly, and picked up a '14 FLSTC almost two months ago. I love everything about her
Pearl... the day I brought her home.
Turning 50 in a couple of weeks. Have a ride planned similar to this one:
Differences being that, since we're out west (99th Ave/Northern Ave), we're gonna go Wickenburg/Yarnell/Prescott/Sedona/Jerome first ("we" == wife and I. She's done one ride to Yarnell with me on the Sportster... she's more willing to accompany me on rides now with the Heritage since it's much more comfortable)
We _were_ gonna go from Show Low down to Globe that same route (Salt River Canyon) since we'd never been, but decided to do Payson and then down to Lake Roosevelt (been to Payson, but never Lake Roosevelt).
Tentative route can be seen at https://maps.harley-davidson.com/map/ride/4NtNmmc6q.
Saturday morning to Sunday evening. Wife and I both took Monday off from work, just in case

I'd probably recommend taking 89-A from Prescott to Jerome. Jerome's an awesome little town, and the ride is amazing. Especially around this time of year. Temperatures should be fantastic.
Depending on time, take 89-A all the way up to Sedona. Sedona's breathtakingly beautiful. A little touristy, but the scenery cannot be beat.
I'll be doing that route as part of a two-day trip I have planned in a few weeks. Looking forward to it.

Cave Creek Bike Week
Stopped in at Cave Creek over the weekend. Really liking that town and all the Bike Week events going on. For those that are new, Cave Creek extends Bike Week into 2 weekends (Apr 6-15) so take a ride there. The wife and I are heading back just to hit all the spots, bands, food, and a few adult beverages. See ya there!

I can't comment on Mesa, but everything up in Prescott will be amazing as far as routes to ride.
