I know there are some great twistys down in the Hill country and various other parts of east Texas... but are there any decent ones that you know of that are close to the DFW area? I'm looking for some I can get to within an hour or less so I can get to them after work during the week. I work in downtown Fort Worth and with daylight savings time, I could still have 2 or3 hours of good daylight to get some great riding in the early evenings.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

 

You needonly go out around Possum Kingdom lake.

 

Hmmmm....good idea. My wife is from Mineral Wells so she might know some names of roads or Highway numbers out there.

What about Lake Worth for something a little closer in? Have you ridden out there? Would it be worth the time to explore?

There's about 6 miles worth between Venus and Mansfield Tx, no altitude change but road is twisty. Good for a quickie!

Highway 5 out by Aledo. Lots of good roads about 45 miles South of Fort Worth. Get yourself a Texas Gazetteer and look for roads that would interest you.
