I have a iron 883 but recently bought pipes that require forwards. are the 48 directly swappable and maybe someone here wants to trade

 

Yes, you can swap.

First thing I wanted to do with my 48 was to put mids on it. had the controld even before had the bike.

BUT. To me the forwards on the 48 dont feel like forwards at all. I like it now the way it is. Just sold the mids.

 

i got some sikpipes menace and they run through the middle. i just need sometthing that will clear throught the pipes

 

would i need an adapter plate before i put them ?

 

The mounts should already be on the frame. They are probably plugged with plastic plugs. These plugs should fit the holes that your pegs are currently mounted in.

You will need the longer rear brake rod and the shift linkage - I would imagine that they come with the control kit. Make sure you specify the year correctly when you order - the rear master cylinder was relocated on the 2014 and up.

I just mounted 2014 48 forwards on my 2014 iron. Very easy to install and no modification needed. Going to sell my mids now.

 

where did you purchase your forwards airframer and how much
