When checking the mounts, they were secure and would not fall off......however would have been nice if the manufacturer made perhaps 2-point mounts (high and low) at all 4 mounting mounts to stabilize the bags.

I agree, I have been trying to think of a way to prevent this, but with just the 2 fixing points up high there is not a lot of options

The mounting system on shovelhead bags may work. It still sits close to the struts but has braces along the back and under the bags. The bags have clips on the bottom that clip to the bottom brace. The mounting brackets are actually kinda discrete.

Here is a pic of an aftermarket reproduction..

Here is a pic of the OEM clips on the bottom of the bag that mount to the bottom rail on the bracket and the mounting points on the bag (kinda similar to Tsukayu).

Just a possible option....something to think about.

If the mounting bracket fits the tsukayu bags, here are the clips for the bottom....problem solved. Wish I knew about vintage bikes when I had my sporty.

Here is my 09 i'm currently working on. Bags still need painted. Installing air ride next week, and looking for an extended rear fender to really complete the rear end. Next ill be adding a wrapped front fender and most likely go with a front fairing as well.

Very nice...wow that bike or those bags are low. Watch so you don't scrape your bags on the curves.

Front fender and fairings will complete the look....it'll be a full-blown bagger when done. ...of course, I am partial.

Well done.

Thanks! Yeah, it was already on burley slammers and then I got 4" extended bags. That's why the air ride is going on so I can keep the rideability. It's a daily as long as its not raining.

Hey hscic, I love those saddle bags. I may have missed it and I'm sorry, but who makes those saddle bags?
