sounds mean....did you remove your baffles? Just so I have a point of reference in the event I decide to remove my baffles then reinstall for annual inspection....just a hassle but the difference in sound and performance may be worth the trouble.

Thanks, your V&H sounds good for pipes with baffles.

What do your mean it sounds and runs like *****?....did you hear DK's 48 no baffles with TTI's....and it ran darn good on the road test.

To many peoples eyes, and ears, V&H Short Shots are a great looking pipe, and sound really good too.

We have done a lot of work with them. They are consistently one of the pipes that benefit from the TTI's more than most other pipes.

We have a set of V&H SS sitting in the shop right now, they will be going on the Project 48 bike at some point, and we'll be doing timed runs of them with baffles, with baffles and TTI's, and with TTI's and no baffles.

Sounding and running like *****...they are pretty blappy sounding with no baffles, most don't like that sound, and they have a severe drop in low and mid range power with no baffles.

Agreed, V&H are good looking pipes with great sound. Thanks for the explanation....thought everyone without baffles were running TTI's or should with severe loss of power and sounding and running like *****...LOL

Just learned that my Thunder Torque Inserts W118 (pictured) is to small to stop reversion on my 2.25" ID slip-ons. Since the TTI is a low cost-high benefit upgrade, ordered the next size up W158 as recommended by DK Customs to replace the W118.

Stay tuned...should increase power/torque per Dynojet test charts and have a deeper sound.
