Default Mustang Wide Tripper Solo Diamond

I've seen a couple threads on this but none that specifically address a couple Q's I have:

1. Comfort wise, how does this compare against a stock 48/72 seat?

2. Compared to a 48/72 seat, how does this affect riding position. It looks taller but it looks like it might push you forward some?

Thanks!

I don't know about the stock 48 seat, suspect no better than my Nightster seat was. But I did waste a lot of money on a mustang solo day tripper with backrest. I am 215lbs, 6ft riding a custom. I am a Mustang fan, have a wide solo nostalgic seat now as I have had on other bikes as well. As they are quite good I thought the daytripper would be as well, it was terrible IMO. Even after sending it to Mean City cycles to be reshaped and different padding it was not good, better, but not good. It is not wide either as name implies, just 12" and thin.

All I can offer is, my Mustang Wide Tripper diamond solo is leap years ahead of the stock Iron seat comfort wise. Best mod I made to the bike probably. I can't remember, it's been so long, but I think it sat me back and down slightly. That's probably apples and oranges since my stock seat is not the same as the 48/72 seats.
I went through all the research and agonizing over whether to spend the money on the Mustang, and in the end, there's absolutely no way to know for sure what it will do for you unless you try one out. It's all subjective. The way I justified it is, if it didn't work out, I could sell it and get most of my money back and try something else.
