What's a fair price on a 2014 iron with pipes and a tank lift.. It has 1200 miles on it.. Was wondering what's a fair price for me to pay .. Thanks

A couple things.

The tank lift costs about $30.
The pipes could be $250-1000 depending on what kind.

Regardless, accessories rarely add much value to a bike. Look at it like any other 2014 Iron.

New was +/- $8400. One year old with 1200 miles puts it around $7200-7800 + maybe a little for the pipes if you like them.

It's on the high end of fair. Reasonable if you don't have to pay a lot in taxes. If your tax and title are the same as a new bike, I'd just buy the new bike. If taxes are low, you're saving a fair amount compared to a new bike purchase.

Keep in mind, the $8500 new bike price is for standard colors. If this bike has non-standard paint, he may have paid $400 more.

In the end, he probably paid about $9400-9600 out the door with tag and tax. If your total cost with title and tag is less than $8500, your getting a good deal on basically a new bike.

In addition to non-standard paint, does it have security or ABS options? Those would push the new price to $10K. I would offer him $7K and see what happens.
