2014 883 Stalling / Missfiring
I have a 2014 Iron 883 with screaming eagle exhaust and DK Custom AC and Xvieds ( something like that) Recently my bike started stalling and misfiring thru my intake.. It idles rough and struggles thru low rpm's thru each gear. i have almost 10,000 miles on bike. Ive changed plugs.. dont know what else it could be... any other sportster owners having same problem? please help.

I have never been a fan of any plugin or piggyback systems that trick the ECMs. You are at the mercy of them going bad and creating headaches. I prefer system flash tunes. Looks like you will need to check and see if your Xvieds went bad. Take them off and go back to the original wiring and see if the problem goes away. You should also check the connections and see if you have any corrosion or bad contacts. Don't ride it much because you will be running lean with your setup and that will cause more problems. If it gets better then you know where the problem is. Now you have the choice of getting new Xvieds or getting a flash tune for your setup.

If it makes you feel any better, my bone stock 900 mile 2014 Iron does the same exact thing upon initial start up when the engine is ice cold. After its been ridden for a while and has some heat in it, it starts beautifully. It literally shoots a puff of black smoke out of the intake, very unnerving.

check the intake for air leaks by starting it up and putting a spray tube (the one that comes with the can) on a can of wd-40 or crc power lube and get real close and spray it around where the intake and throttle body meet and where the intake and engine meet, if the engine changes speed when/ or immediately after you spray it you have a leak..if you find no leak, turn off the motor, remove the air cleaner and look inside of the air intake area, if it is dirty looking ( it will be) spray the crap out of it with the crc or wd40, they both have tons of solvents in them that will melt the crud away with doing any damage to the parts, and leave the whole thing nice and lubed..don't forget to put rags under the areas you are spraying to catch the mess...if that doesn't help come back and we can talk some more..
