Default Carb or fuel-injected Roadster delima

Well I've located a few nice 883 and 1200R Roadsters but all have been 2004-2006 with carbs.. Should I hold out for a fuel-injected 2007-2008? My current RKC is FI. What brand of FI did the 2007-2008 use? Thanks.

I really like a carb bike , easy to tune, dependable , less computer hassles.
A rubber mount might be nice too.
If you were to ride high speeds for miles at a time , I'd lean towards the 1200.
Taller gearing , a bit less busy at speed.
I believe all the late model bikes are Delphi injected.
If you can steal one , I'd be flexible , they're all pretty good basically.

Same here. Love my carb, but never had a fi bike. Can't go wrong with a roadster, best looking tank imo. Will never sell mine. I will ride down to around 30 degrees, pull the choke/enricher and she fires right up. No problem what so ever.

Gearhead 1937, would love to see a pic of your Roadster if possible.

then ill be the first to say FI cause off less hassel
and if the 1200 is only alittle more get that iven though i weight 250-270lbs and find the 883 okey, bigger is always better
but i don´t like the first ones with FI cause off the ecu being on the rear fender looks pants and then you have to have a certen seat to cover it

regards

I've got both a fuel injected softail and a carbed sporty.
I've ridden the softail twice this year. The carbed sporty just has more character

Default Carb

I have an 06 883 carb bike and love it! It's my first Harley. Always ridden Japanese sport bikes before. I'm a big guy too!

I test road a few fuel injected bikes and didn't like them as much. I may buy one some day but I'm happy with mine right now. Like someone else said, get whatever is the best deal.

I've got a 2006 883r, and I love it.
I rode FI and Carb'd bikes before picking this one up. I'd say go with the best bike you find for the price you want to spend, but FI vs Carb isn't the decider...
