Default 883 Superlow larger front tire?

After about 5,200 miles it's time for a new front tire. Anyone put a slightly larger tire on a Superlow?

The current 120/70-17 is a bit small, I was thinking about a 130/70-17 and wondered if it'll fit/look ok.

Thanks!

I'll be also looking for alternate tires to replace the stockers, the sizes limit choices a bit.

I haven't ever thought of using a bigger front tyre, although I would go up a size on the rear of mine! Have you actually found a 130/70 x 17? Our SuperLows have low profile tyres, compared with other Sporties, more in line with other types of modern bike and the 120/70 is widely used on other brands. There are 130/80 dresser tyres, but I suspect they will be a bit OTT on a solo Sporty.

New front tire only after 5200 miles?
BTW there are 130/70/17 tires out there if you want.

They will also fit with the mid-glide front-end on Superlows without any modification.

SuperLows have a smaller diameter and wider rim, 18" not 19" and a stock 120/70 tyre. So it is wider than all other Sporties, but with a lower sidewall.

My '12 1200C has the larger front tire and it felt like it was too much tire for it until I upgrade my front fork springs to Progressives. Now it feels like it belongs there.

Still riding stock HD Dunlops with 15k on both front and rear. I'll probably get the tires changed before winter.
