Default 91' Sportster Speedo/Tach conversion

Hi guys, I'm working on a 1991 Sportster 1200 and looking at upgrading the stock gauges to a speedo/tach combo unit. Do you have any recommendations?

Tach should be easy to hook up, speedometer might be tough because our '91s have a mechanical speedo. I don't know how you would retrofit for an electric speedo. The 1200 should have a tach/speedo stock IIRC. My 883 only has a speedo. The stock tach/speedo is pretty bulky IMO, so I don't mind just the speedo alone on mine.

you could run the guage package from Dakota Digital, they have several to choose from with different functions built in. once you pick the guage you want, you'll have to wire up the pick sensor or the sensor converter to get around the speedo cable issue. you can use the cable converter if you like, or you can wire up a sensor to the back wheel. check them out for more info.
