Thinking of doing something sort of like this:

i'm done with most of my big stuff so im focusing on the keyless conversion. my switch showed up last week. three pronged.

im looking for the same thing. found a few like this...
http://www.jpcycles.com/product/382-165
http://www.custom-motorcycle-parts.c...nition-switch/

i'm also at a loss or wiring. there three wires that must be edited. i'm going to use water-proof blade connectors so i can easily revert to the key dependent stock switch.

i'll also make a harness for the switch like the one here:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...e-up-pics.html

looks like the bike must be put into transport mode to stop the alarm from going ape**** once the maxi-fuse is pulled. i pulled it last week and the bike went bananas.

can you ask them to do two? are you going for the original location or the horn mount style? i'll pay them for a solid solution.

i've got time.... because:
this doesn't work. had to order the drag version

'I'm doing what I think you're calling the horn mount style. So why is it that
what you show below doesn't work? Just wondering. The switch shown
below looks like what I bought too (but I'm not using the connector)

thanks,

T.

fun times

mid usa version (left, meant for older bikes) drag version ( right, 03-13 p/n 2106-0224)

low quality drag adapter (left, included with switch) high quility HD adapter (right, p/n 72327-03... whopping $2 at dealer )

easier to set up adapter with blade socket

So while we're waiting for some custom parts from powder coating, thought I'd post
what I've got for "Plan B"....

Here's my write-up. I'll open the dash to make some shots, but essentially I got rid of plastic connectors so I could use any switch.

Well thats really great for the Dyna guys, but the Sportsters dont have a dash/console.
Guess thats the whole point (or a big part of) this thread. ie) the mount for the switch.
