Default 2005 sportster 1200 bogging down

On my initial spring ride I was way under powered and had to keep choke out fully. Last fall I switched the fuel off and Ran it dry when I put it up, but cannot remember if I stabilized the gas. I changed the plugs, but no luck -does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking I may Drain gas tank and try some hi test. I'm hoping I don't need carb work

Thx

Having to run with the choke on is a sure sign that your primary jets are clogged. Spray carb cleaner, a fine wire and compressed air. Less than an hour for a slow mechanic. Get a parts diagram and learn how the old schoolers did it. Check on Youtube for motorcycle carburetor cleaning.

I agree with all. Get after it man! I can do it in about 61 seconds including installing in a new brass inlet elbow! Evidence below in my vid... Check with CV Performance. Great kits with everything you will need.
