Good morning people

noob here, I have a 2002 883 with forward controls and i want to go to mid controls, can I use the same controls just mount them in the mid position or do i need to buy something else? does anybody have a video on making the swap? I keep finding just mid to forward videos

there are probably 100 people on this form that will trade you strait across, but you will need different controls, mount very different.

most people remove their mids and put on forwards...

that being said, I would hop on ebay if I were you, you can probably get some new factory take-offs for half the cost of new or less...

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to move from forward to mid controls. I have ridden both and prefer forward controls.

 

he probable PREFERS mids just as you prefer forward controls.....

 

i myself like mids so :P

 

probably wants more control over the bike. i do not enjoy forwards as much as mids. mids feel more planted

@op: may try to maintain your forward foot rests as highway pegs unless you have a crash bar with pegs or something. babies out with bath water and such
