I just got a tuner - the Cobra FI2000 Power Pro. I ordered it from Dennis Kirk. $450 included shipping and it was there in two days. Install was not too hard. It is better to remove the gas tank all the way. The harness plugs into the fuel injectors, then to the stock injector connectors and to the oxygen sensors and into the stock oxygen sensor connectors (kind of splits into the factory harness at those points). The connectors only go in one way and snap right in. This tuner did not require any programming, it all runs on auto pilot.

My only other mod is a set of Firebrand Loose Cannon slip on mufflers. This Cobra tuner works as advertised. It improves performance at all RMP levels and driving conditions. The off idle and low rpm choppiness I had is now gone. At the top end it screams. Everywhere in-between it runs more smoothly. I feel like this motorcycle now runs the way it should. Now all I need to do is get Progressive suspension to fix the ride quality.

 

You'll need a free flowing air filter to complete your stage one.

 

no judgment here. but I had one and did a dyno run with it. will try and find my charts, but it was super rich. my guy told me, any thing below this line on my chart was rich, and pointed to 3 other lines of extreme richness, i was blow all 3. the bike did run pretty strong. but it was dumping fuel i guess. Lower RMP is crazy rich. just food for thought. I went with a dyno tune and power commander.
