Default Schaeffer oil

A small shop is wanting to use this oil in my sportster. I never hear of this oil before. I did some searching around and I found a few posts but not a lot of good solid recommendations for it. Just curious what others on the forum think about it. I was planning to continue to use Sync-3 HD. Said it runs cooler. After this I will be doing all my servicing, decided not to do the 5K service myself.

Never heard of them, but looked at their site. Looks like pretty good oil, high in zinc (for those worried about it), should work fine. Hopefully someone has some real experience with Schaeffer and can chime in.

Since they've been around since 1839, probably started with sperm whale oil products. That was before dino oils were developed!

I'm convinced Harleys will run on anything so long as it's got oil. If you're okay with it I don't see why not.

schafer is one of the best oils for a motorcycle as it runs extra zinc which these engines really like. Just cannot use it if you have a catalytic converter.
