Cool New cables when changing handlebars on Forty-Eight?

Need some advice about switching the stock handlebars on my Forty-Eight for 12" Mini apes with internal wiring. The stock bars on the bike are 4" lift I believe, comparing the old bars to the new ones and looking over the lines I'm comming to the assumption that I need a new clutch cable, brake line, throttle lines and wiring. Can anyone confirm or deny any of these or tell me if I'm missing something.

I've read about guys only changing the brake line and extending the wiring for internal wiring but I could not confirm or deny this. Burley makes a kit with the brake line, cables and wire extensions specifically made for 12" bars. Check them out at road6customs.com.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. If you have decided on which brand of bars check with them what they recommend. You won't be the first to start work and find that something stock doesn't quite reach to your liking, so you need new parts!

Not sure if this will help but here goes. I installed the HD Tall boys on my 48 they are almost 8 ins. I had to replace the brake line for sure, had plenty of throttle and control wiring. Clutch cable was just enough. You are going 12" so I would say yes on clutch, brake. The wiring guess you'll have see how close you come like I said I had plenty but I didn't go as high. You can always just buy all 4 just be to be on the safes side. I heard that the control wiring if it's not long enough you have to cut and splice in a section to get the he length you need.
