Default How to tell part number on sundowner seat

Hey guys I'm looking for a two up seat like the sundowner seat. I saw one on eBay and they didn't have the part number listed. I messaged the seller and they told me that they knew nothing about it. They also didn't state what year and model bike it came off of the side of the seat just said sportster on it I the pics I saw of it. The pics of the bottom of the seat had no tags or anything. My question is: is there a way to find out what the seat fits without some sort of tag on it?

Thanks

Do you have link to item on ebay? If it says Sportster on the side I'm betting it's just a stock seat.

Sorry I don't have anything on it that indicates a part number. This is a copied from what is shown on the HD website. Part Number 52400121. Here is the link.

Walk away! That seller is probably moving on stuff he's bought cheap at a sale of some sort. As for wanting a seat 'like a Sundowner', just buy yourself a real Sundowner! Look for someone who knows what they are selling, such as the original buyer.

there should be a manufactuer date molded into the bottom of the plastic seat pan that will give you a starting date as to what year it was for. You can modify any seat to fit unless your Sportster has the ECU in the seat area than you need one that has that relief molded into the pan or relocate your ECU
I've got 2 off Ebay ( over bidding lol ) I modified one to fit my 2013 Sportster 72 works great

Sorry I noticed that was only for the pillion. I didn't realize that they sold only the pillion because mine as all one seat, saddle and passenger pillion in one. This is the the Sundowner 2-up that is made to fit your bike.

EDIT: My bad I didn't see your last post stating the bidding was over.
