not really. i've always had the 3rd. you got the moons light coming. you may need to tell the BCM that there is a 3rd light after you get it all wired up. could cause issues otherwise. dealer can do that for your for free. again, may.

I do...installed the Harley layback LED tail light about a week ago on my bike and like it a lot, very bright and appears to be well made and in the US at that by Peterson Mfg. I figured since they specialize in lighting it probably got some real engineering and should be reliable, about $125 from one of the discount HD dealers.

Upper Brackets. Bent some aluminum, paint it black and bolt it on the fairing. Bottom mounting hardware is from Memphis shades. 55-56mm.
I used the same Memphis Shades mounts and like you had to fab brackets.

Thanks, read about it on your other group buy thread. I'll have to get the harness from HD and tap it the way it shows on the post.

It's not 100% done. Still waiting on some parts to complete my tail light wiring.

Anyhow, the NEW vs. the OLD set up. The handlebar and fairing looks cleaner now and the full fender makes the bike complete with Moonsmc tail light and Custom Dynamics laydown plate.

Love the full fender you got goin on now. You now have the same tank and rear fender as my XL Custom. I, too, have the Moons MC tail light and the curved lay down plate and I'm really satisfied with the aesthetics of it. I once thought of chopping the fender down a bit, but after I installed the lo-pro Moons MC light and the curved lay down plate, I'm leaving it the way it is. I love the look and the lines.

Bigger tank and full fender are more functional on rides.

I can attest to the bigger tank function. Makes the rides better. I thought about the full size fender when I was doing my Roadster. Went with the HD International plate holder instead. After all the work I did, I have no desire to tear it down again.....at least until summers over, right?

Pic taken before I installed the quarter fairing.

Exactamundo. I can't imagine having any smaller of a tank on my bike. I get ~150 miles right now before I fill up and anything less than that would annoying to me. Sounds like you're hinting that these mods were less for style and more for function. What was the purpose behind the full fender? Less debris thrown all over the place?
