Default Creamin spiegle stage one question.

Hello All,
Just got done last night installing the V&H shortshots, Fuel Pak, & SE Stage 1 air filter upgrade to my wifes Nightster. I noticed while running it last night that the outter rubber trim pice on the canned ham vibrated off. This rubber piece use to sit up against the stock air cleaner back plate & now it has nothing to keep it from eithercoming off due tovibration orengine heat. I read carefully through the directions & the SE 1 didn't call fo it to be removed.

What have any of you guys done? Have you taken it off? I'm thinking I could stupid glue it to help it from coming off again. Any thoughts?

Henny

I would think it's no longer needed. On the original can it acted as a gasket to "seal" the can.

I heard people actually remove the rubber seal and modify the back cover to allow more air flow.

Yeah, I had the same problem when I installed mine so I just took it off, haven't found any problems with it so far.

I know it will not pose a problem...I just like thenice rounded/finnished lookas opposed to thebare edge of that grey coating. Basically it was just a question of apperance...not performance.

Thanks for the replies!
