Did you have any luck finding a solution? I want to do the same thing however this issue may be compounded because the 1983 XLX has dual calipers/rotors. Anyone have any hints or suggestions? Here's a link to a wheel on DennisKirk that claims it will fit, I'm inquiring with their tech support since the author of this thread has gone this route without any luck.
