Derby cover gasket or o-ring
helping the son-in-law do the service on his two sporties. both 1200Cs. an '06 and an '07. during the service he had trouble trying to re-install the square cut o-ring on the derby cover, while servicing the primary. did HD replace the o-ring with a gasket like they did on the big twins?

No still a square cut o ring, put a bit of grease on it to hold it in place during re-assembly.
